Anyway, they are just following Nintendo's lead. They too are dumb for believing that third party games don't sell due to competition from first party games and so they try to leave room for third parties to succeed by not releasing their own big games. The result is that hardware sales are lacking and therefore software sales on the whole.

Nintendo pushing hardware sales with first party software is never a mistake, because higher hardware sales lead to higher software sales, including third party games. The only thing ever that was holding back third party software sales on Nintendo systems was a lack of quality.
