Screw you guys who said that JP and Neverending Story (at least the first ones in the series) suck now... both are total classics!
I recently watched Independence Day again for the first time in close to 10 years... my god those special FX have aged horribly! I remember that was the biggest summer movie ever the year it opened and everyone was so impressed by the infamous destruction sequences of major landmarks... now it just comes off as horrible schlock, and the aliens are just so comically bad.
As far as embarrassingly bad movies that I used to watch as a kid... I remembered I used to love The Last Starfighter back in the mid 80's... haven't seen it in years and recently picked it up on DVD for dirt cheap. Yeah, it hasn't aged well at all, and the acting is so comically bad its ridiculous.
