I only recently got a Wii, so I haven't played Radiant Dawn, but I did not like Path of Radiance (GCN). I really hated those Largos or Animal people things, and I just felt the game lacked a bit of polish.

However the GBA and DS iterations are amazing, and from what I've played of the translated NES and SNES games, they are awesome too. FE really seems like a game that makes sense on handhelds. On consoles, I feel the franchise needs to evolve. Maybe make CG that's more interactive, decisions between battles that alter the ending, something new.

For handhelds, the games strike such a perfect balance for me. Yes the levels are long, but I can generally fit a turn or two on a given break I have, and usually I can do a level or two a day. It's deep, and complex, yet simple enough to turn off and play bit by bit.

I mock console Fire Emblems, but regardless a new Fire Emblem game is always appreciated. It saddens me that so nearly half the handheld versions never see American localization, despite Americas sales often mimic or surpass Japanese sales.

Still a new Fire Emblem for 3DS would seriously have me consider getting that device, this is probably my favorite franchise, at least for RPG's.

P.S. I voted Sacred Stones. I beat that game 3 times, the only RPG I have ever beaten that many times was Super Mario RPG.
