The two DS games, remakes of Fire Emblem 1 and 3 (the latter has yet to be announced for a Western release), both feature Marth as main character and should be played in the order they came out. Fire Emblem 2, 4 and 5 were all Japan only. 2 is a sidestory between Marth's adventures, 4 has an entirely new universe and 5 is a sidestory taking place during the events of 4. That's about it. On topic: I didn't see this thread before. When I read the title I thought it was about something similar to Operation Rainfall, to get the Fire Emblem 3 remake released in the West. But apparently it's just a regular what's your favorite Fire Emblem thread. That would be Radiant Dawn for me, followed by Path of Radiance (I much prefer gaming on the TV instead of on a handheld). Of the handheld games, Fire Emblem 7 is the best one. I wish they would bring back the rankings of that game, would be an additional challenge. Fire Emblem 3 needs a Western release date as soon as possible!!! |
