The noctua nh-d14 is good for quiet with overclocking. However. with my i7 920 @4.0ghz at 1.275 V Vcore is at coretemp max 82. with LLC disabled. Doing OCCT Linpack.
My temps are higher than most though. For a reason I can't figure out. (Maybe Case airflow, and the fact I live in Arizona)
But, the Noctua probably isn't worth the premium price tag. Unless low noise is a main concern (Which it was for me). And I got it for 50 dollars :). but, overall I've been dissapointed a bit with it. (Due to the extremely high praise it gets)
If noise isn't a factor, there's probably better cooling ones here for a lower price tag. That others have listed.
