But if they release a new console with a new kind of controller + compatible with all other wireless controllers that they have released the previous gen, then after 3-4 gens we'll end up with 4 diffrent controllers + many perhiprels (or whaterver it's spelled) like balance board etc. It doesn't sound easy to play with all that together and it takes up a lot of space, aspecially if their controller become bigger and bigger. Imagine playing with Balance board, Vitality Sensor, Wii U tablet and nunchuck together :O That's almost impossible! |
Well one of those devices have slipped into Mythology. I like backwards compatability. I have all my GameCube games and controllers in a box in the closet. I take them out every once and a while to play. You could do the same with your old controllers. Now if you don't think they should make the consoles backwards compatable with the consoles, should we just keep all the old consoles? They take up alot of room, I myself don't have many older consoles because I live in an apartment and keeping every old console and their games takes up way to much room.
Also what about VC , you won't be able to purchase or play older games, that will be a huge hit to Nintendo's online sales. Not to mention turn many gamers off of their products. VC is doing wonders for Nintendo if they keep innovating however they need to find a way for gamers to play those older games!
P.S - its already the case, imagine playing with the Balance board, Wiimote, WiiPlus add on, Nun-chuck all together? I already have. Though I don't think the WiiU controller will be used in conjunction with the other controller devices! Other then maybe the Balance Board!
