Sequels tend to start stronger then originals, but often end up with similar totals. Gears 2 only just past Gears 1 sales, Fable 3 will probably come close to Fable 2 numbers and Halo: Reach will be lucky to get Halo 3 lifetime sales.
Wish I could use PS3 games as examples, but Killzone 3 and LBP2 are too new, UC2 was a major improvement over UC1, Resistance 1 saw some bundling and got boosted sales since PS3 really had nothing good that entire first year, and Motorstorm 1 was heavily bundled.
