Even if Nintendo does come in 3rd (which I admit is possible), what makes you think that PS360 haven't had their peak years yet?  I personally think that these might be their peak years.  What on the horizon makes you think that they'll sell better than they are currently? 

Nintendo forecast 13 mill this FY, Sony forecast 15 mill, and Microsoft have said they're going to outsell both platforms this year.

I don't know exactly who you are quoting, but I find that to be a bit too optimistic (especially about the 360).

Only time will tell if it's true.  We shall see.
