Maybe it has to do with the fact that we call it an RPG or a console RPG here, and you guys refer to it in an ethnic slur kind of way as a "JRPG". The term "JRPG" more or less exists for Americans to disparage an entire segment of games developed by a particular race. Maybe the creators decided they didn't want to bring the game into a market that categorizes games based on race rather than genre.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
