That's bullshit.  There is plenty of room for both types of games.  Actively wishing for one type of game to go away is actively wishing for the industry to shrink.

Who said anything about not having diversity?  Having crap doesn't make your lineup better, in fact having games that the market consistently rejects is a detriment, not a benefit

If you keep making only the types of games that have sold, let's say, 10+ million, you will oversaturate that market.  Then those games will only sell a couple million each.  Right back where you started!  Only now you don't have anything different to offer!  Good job!
