how many controllers have had a screen, microphone, etc built in? it technically has all of the features of the ngp except that it has a larger screen and has to stream hd content without lag ( which must mean it uses more power ) i don't see how its dumb to reason that it would use more power and therefore it may not have more battery life

No it doesn't... It's single touch and only a front screen. NGP has 2 multitouch surfaces.
