| Light said: They tweeted this "LulzSec:We're not targeting Nintendo. We like the N64 too much - we sincerely hope Nintendo plugs the gap. This is just for lulz. <3" and "We love SNES, Megadrive, N64, Dreamcast... Sega & Nintendo have a special place in our Lulz Boat. Desert Strike, anyone? #MEGADRIVE" |
This kinda makes this thread null and void, they just did it to get Nintendo on their toes before someone actually does something with it, I mean they really didn't harm Sony for that matter, like their name they're doing it for the lulz and to get people to fix security gaps, I mean they DID take some 3.5 million coupon codes from Sony
but those a coupons to begin with, they didn't copy many accounts just enough to show them they weren't fabricating the story and enough to make Sony panic about their movie site security, now just posting it up online for anyone to see... that's where the actual issue comes in, they're obviously not doing anything with the info, but others might try something, though without any skill or extra info to go with a few names and adresses the most they'll do with it is some crank calls.
Though this tweet goes with the stereotype, that anyone that's a bit more tech inclined, knows their way around computers, and well actually knows what the hell they're talking about when it comes to technology (IE classic geeks) are typically Nintendo fans, mostly because they liked gaming before Sony made it cool for the bros
I guess Nintendo's best protection against hacking is that the ones able to hack like them
