So... what exactly is the difference between standard and high-definition? What does it matter?

Less jaggies in high definition. If you constantly see jagged edges in a game, you can't enjoy it. It's just not possible.

Well, in Smash Bros. Brawl, there is a deflicker option, and if it's off, the graphics are sharper, but more jagged. If it is on, the graphics are smoother but a little blurry. In high definition, would you be able to get both sharp and smooth, but not sacrifice anything?

sorry... Im kind of a noob when it comes to high definition. I only have Nintendo consoles :(

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash
