See I don't neccessarily agree with that 100%. I do agree that they have importance on marketshare, but I think they still have a focus on recovering some losses.
They won't be able to beat MS this year (Doubt they will beat MS in profit in this generation, now that microsoft has made a very profitable business in gaming), and most likely this will be their only chance to beat Nintendo in profit for a decent amount of time, because of one quarter loss nintendo had due to some accounting trick.
Next FY will be hard on sony, with PSN crisis being part of the first quarter.
