No it doesn't, but we're talking about who is in the right or wrong here, not how things are.

Also I had a long edit furthering my point:

That last claim (take it or leave it to the locals) is proven many times all over in Africa as well. Current borders are what Europeans basically left behind, not what the actual regions of given tribes/groups was. Which ended up pairing anemies in the same country in several places which leads to all the senseless infighting that is occuring.
