Which the Arabs disagreed with, to be sure, and they appealed the UN's decision to recognize a Jewish state by launching an invasion. Their objection, of course, was overruled when Israel pwned them hilariously.

I don't recall the Roman Empire's success and victory in rolling over the jewish revolt hanging on extrenal help. Correct me if I am wrong.

The onyl reason Israel is where it is is because of England. THe only reason the jews weren't rolled over again, is because of extrenal help again. None of this is even remotely close to the Roman Empire who just rolled in by themselves, and using their own resources put down the revolt.
