These guys are professionals, they can take into account the crappy sensor (hehehe). The thing is Polaroid's aren't known for their great qualities either. They where just an inexpensive (and fun when I tried them) way to obtain instant photos.
I think Fontcuberta means that the 3DS is an instant way to experience 3D photography since you are able to see the results in the glassless screen.
