NO CONSOLES NO!

I think at this point the 3DS is looking very doomed, and here's hoping that the Wii price-cut will help out (I've seen a Black Wii, Wii Sports and Resort and Wiimote over here for £100, apparantly they flew off the shelves)

When 3DS inevitable goes below Wii, Nintendo need to re-think their strategy. And all the console manufacturers, actually.

Why do you always drag PS360 or MS/Sony into the equation when Wii/DS/3DS/Ninty are doing bad ... as if it all hinges on ninty

All consoles are down YoY, and after E3 it will only get much worse. I'm not saying it hinges on Nintendo, but cutting the price sooner rather than later would be favourable in the long run.

A console can't be up YoY it's entire life you know? this time last year PS3 was still riding high on a price cut, so it's figures right now are fine, pretty healthy. 360 again, EMEAA isn't its strongest region, and only partially down yoy.

I know a console can't be up YoY it's entire life, but a price-cut is a way to make more money and to boost sales, and you don't want to leave it like Nintendo did, too late.

And the PS3 price-cut was some time ago, like around the same time Move and Kinect were launched last year I think. So...surely they should be boosting sales as well? And the 360 has Kinect, a load of games and a new model over last year and it's still down. Hardly healthy no matter which way you spin it.

The only real thing which can re-ignite consumer interest right now is a price cut.

Ugh .. the bolded should have told you the PS3 price cut wasn't last xmas ...

I don't need to spin anything, the market always goes low in the summer, every year, since this gen began and before (bar wii in its prime)

X360 is a system in its 6th year, to be pulling 40k a week in EMEEA, in the summer, with the PS3 thriving, is pretty healthy.

I know the price cut wasn't last year, I was being relative.

The numbers for the 360 are healthy, for its conditions. But that doesn't mean that a new generation of consoles are needed imminentanly. It can only get worse from here.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
