Anyway, Dreamcast wasn't too early, it was too late. After Saturn flopped, Sega should have rushed to get a new console out quickly like they normally would have.

Dreamcast could have been a much bigger hit if it had launched with lower specs in 1997. All it would have required to be would be an N64 without the bottlenecks; in other words an N64 with more RAM and a CD drive.

 

Did the NES launch too early in 1983? Did the PSX launch too early in 1994? No, they didn't; they launched at appropriate times, and dominated their respective generations.
