Actually, "french fries" were first made in Belgium, not France.  Just like "french toast" was first made by a guy named French in New York I believe.  So much for the idiocy of renaming these things because a few people were pissed off at France.  I think I can accurately say that most Americans thought these sorts of things were petty and stupid, even if they disagreed with France's position on the war.

In any case, mrstickball just has poor tastes in sports ;)  World football blows away American football any day!
