Nintendo specialises in their own kind of games. I don't know why you think they should move into genres that don't fit them or their philosophy.

They should stick to what they do best and try to get third parties to round out their console library.

 

I didn't say Nintendo should make them. Nintendo publishes a lot of games that are different from what they generally create.

I could name games Nintendo has gotten behind that didn't fit their "philosphy." A few games that come to mind are Goldeneye, Killer Instinct, Eternal Darkness, Disaster Day, and sports sims in the past gens. Recently they got behind Xenoblade and Last Story.

I agree, Nintendo should stick with what they do. But they should also seek out studios that can deliver them quality games as MS and Sony have done for their platforms. Most notably in the genres their platform has been lackluster.
