Just think about it. Why announce new games when E3 is just around the corner? My above post has a proverbial launch line-up. I wouldn't be surprised if that does indeed occur.
The Wii will have more surprises. It still has the big 5 JRPG's to come over here (DQX, Xenoblade, TLS, ToG and Pandora's Tower), and plenty other Japan-only games ATM, and who knows what from Retro and other developers. Wait for E3, then we'll talk again.

I've always wanted to play a JRPG on the Wii. JRPG's motion controls = a dream come true.
I'm glad you agree. If you lived in Japan, you'd have plenty to choose from...
But I wouldn't get your hopes up for most of those games, especially ToG. Although I think it's a good idea releasing ToG on the Wii, if they release it on both PS3 and the Wii and the PS3 has extra content, not many people would buy the Wii version. And if the Wii version gets the extra content then the ToG Wii owners in Japan will complain.
Why not just add the extra content to the Wii? It's already there in code. If they're translating one version, as they are, I don't see it being difficult to port it over to the other console. Althoguh, it's wishful thinking. But I've been shocked by Nintendo before...
Does Xenoblade have any relation to Xenogears?
Aside from the same team, no. But it's just as good apparantly, and undoubtedly the best JRPG on consoles this gen. Not that there's much competition...
And are any of those games confirmed to be released in the West? I might pick them up.
Xenoblade (October), DQX is pretty much certain, and TLS as well. Pandora's Tower...we shall see. Earth Seeker is unlikely, sadly.
Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is, if Nintendo didn't have many Wii games in E3 2010, why would they have any more in E3 2011 when all the focus has shifted to "Project Cafe"? And the guy being interviewed seemed to change subject pretty quickly after mentioning that the "Wii has more surprises" because he probably doesn't feel confident enough to make false promises. It just seems like typical PR to me.
Have you heard of Goldeneye, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Wii Party, Donkey Kony Country Returns and Skyward Sword? All revealed at E3. Apparantly not...

I get your point, but you must remember, this guy probably has no clue what he's talking about. He's not a big wheel for Nintendo. He's just giving us hope, it's a polite way of saying 'wait for E3'. Only a fool would write Nintendo off.

I know, I'm sick to death of Western games.

Disc storage could be one issue, even if the content was added, then Japanese Wii owners would cry out for that content aswell. If the PS3 version is going to sell better than the Wii version, then maybe Namco Bandai won't bother. I think it would be a good move either way.

Maybe Nintendo's 2010 E3 wasn't as bad as I remember. Still, I'm not interested in all of those games, and there was still more that the PS3 / XBOX 360 offered me that I was interested in. The future of the Wii isn't looking bright, neither are the sales. If Project Cafe is unveiled at E3, then I highly doubt they would be backing the Wii anymore, it just seems like false promises to me.
LordTheNightKnight is right though...Wait for E3.
Problem is I CAN'T wait for E3, it is going to be so epic.
