Sorry, I guess I didn't read your post well. Correct me if I'm wrong, but in Other M, when in first person mode, the dodge button IS the attack button right? @SmokedHostage, besides the emotional story which is very non-metroid, what's the major problem with the game? I'm guessing it's that there are very few puzzles compared to other iterations but I won't be playing it till the holidays this year so I don't really know what the problems are.

No, in first person mode you dodge by shaking the Wii remote.  Shooting is done with the A button.

are you sure of this?? I don't remember anything about shaking the Wii remote in Other M. I'm pretty sure dodging in first person is the same as in third person, i.e. using the D-pad. Tilting the remote upwards to face the ceiling also works for concentrating in both points of view...

Yep, give it a try.  It only works right before you are about to get hit.  I don't think the game ever actually tells you this though.

I can confirm this.

The problem is that the dodge never works in 1st person mode.  All it does is cause you to waggle all over the place not shooting at targets.  Better to just play as much of the game as possible in the brainless "running around auto-shooting."

Scratch that.  It's truly better to not play Metroid: Other M at all.

It works really wel on one incoming projectol, but when 3 or 4 are going your way then your aim goes to hell. Of course if you could dogde anyting and fast in first person view then it's just to easy.
