It's the lesser of all the evils. It's the least flawed console, and most people proably don't know much about PSN being down. However now that Call of Duty advertizing is back for 360, people may become more aware of PSN being down. With Wii's new price cut, console sales may balance out for a bit. Until then PS3 is ontop because

360 hasn't seen a major new exclusive since last fall, and Kinect momentum will likely be down until fall, but like last fall 360 will likely sell increadibly well.

Wii is in the same position software, but with the successor announced it's unlikely we'll see new software for the Wii. Then again fall sales will likely make up for the weak sales so far.

DS is down now that the 3DS is out, and 3DS is lacking software so sales aren't strong yet. Also there aren't really any new games comming out for DS.

As for PSP it's also been lacking software, and is basically dead n Americas.

So really software is holding the PS3 up, but this fall that might change. I think this year, all the consoles will come very close with overall sales.

Personally I think 3DS will see the strongest sales this fall, Wii should gain enough momentum to regain leading sales for home consoles, and 360 should be able to close the gap for the second half, but still come thir overall for home consoles.

TBH PSP is undertracked in Americas so no, it isn't dead...yet.

Everything that doesn't do well on VGC is undertracked. Those arguements are unfounded.

You have rather short memory span don't you ?

It's less than 2 months since PSP was majorly adjusted up in both america and emea and still VGC seems to belive psp sales weekly in America less than it was selling in February before price drop in USA only.

I know PSP sales were adjusted (significantly more in EMEAA then Americas), and PSP sales did see a jump in March. It's still selling about as well as it did in 2010, o I don't think PSP will be adjusted.

My point was PSP sales are not high, and it's because the handheld is old, and lacking software. Weather it's above or below the DS, it's still below the PS3.
