I don't want those things. I own a PS3. I actually tend to loathe it being more in line with tolerating it as LtK said. I haven't seen Ultra blood and gore in MGS, Uncharted, Halo or CoD. If Ultra violence and gore sells so well then why has MK recieved a lukewarm reception despite being a reviewed well by critics? It features such in spades. Something tells me that only the 12-14 year olds shouting obscenities online enjoy that silly stuff. Besides those games you mentioned are good examples of good gameplay and thats probably whats far more important to their sales than any amount of gore.
The only game that I really enjoy gore in is Shadow of Rome but the gore also has alot to do with the gameplay and the theme besides being so gratuitous you can't take it serioulsy.
