The problem with your OP (which I'm not even "countering" for the following reason) is that it doesn't say how the Wii supposedly isn't dying. It's pretty much saying that Nintendo wont abandon it... So erm... Okay? PS2 hasn't been abandoned fully yet, though I'm pretty sure everyone here will agree that it's dying, despite still selling well for a console in its 11th Year.

Sales are in free fall. Support is dwindling. Successor is on the way. It's dying.


Again, you are ignoring my point about the successor not coming out for a year. My point is for this year and at least the year after launch.

And just claiming lowering system sales alone will mean dropping it is not enough, as software sales are still giving them money and customer.
