1. I didn't claim it would do that. Will you all actually read the OP and stop "coutering" claims I haven't made.
2. Lack of early enthusiasm for the next system was another factor (same with the SNES and the N64).
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
