Unike Nintendo and the internet, I don't see many people rushing out to buy a 3DS for a remake of a N64 Zelda or for classics screwed up in 3D. Do you think if a Super Mario Bros had been released on the N64 it would have saved it? Of course not. The 3DS won't be bought just because there is one Pokémon there or a Mario Kart here, it's genral direction is screwed up.
