I don't think LBP2 or GT5 sales will jump in Japan if it's having some special holiday sales period.
I only think handheld RPG sales will jump, and 3DS hardware sales might get a nice nudge. PSP sales may also go up, but it depends on the software released. PSP in Japan sees a new game every 3 weeks or so.
If Wii gets a price cut (like it has at Best Buy), Wii sales might jump to 20-30k figure or so temporarily. It would make sence to time this price cut with Golden Week.

What is Golden Week? I honestly don't know. I read from VGC it's a holiday period in Japan where game sales go up, but what is it? Why are games on sale during Golden Week? Is Golden Week the Japanese equivalent of Black Friday?

Then like I said, small bump for hardware and software, more specifically handheld hardware and software. If Wii gets a pirce cut it will see sales in the 20-30k range, but after that it will likely drop in sales to below 10k. Now that the Japanese gamers know of a successor console, I can't imagine Wii sales being too strong in Japan, even with a price cut.
