Not sure what you guys are on about. Sales for the year show that the Wii hardware has sold much less this year than the previous and I assume that this is the direct result of the Kinect and Move systems coming out last year. Now that gamers have the option of buying a console that caters to both hardcore and casual titles, they will prefer that to simply buying a Wii which while having a much better selection of titles is mostly known for casual gaming. I think that Nintendo had to come up with a new console as the Wii has reached its peak and will reduce or stabilise in lower sell numbers. This shouldnt be a problem for them as they would have already made tons of money and will still make money from new software due to the huge Wii install base.

With regards to the Wii2, if Nintendo wants to attract new hardcore gamers, they will have to come up with some very compelling (highly rated >8 score) games that will compel gamers to buy them to rather than getting ps3s or 360s with their library of games. If not, this may go the way of the dreamcast.
