Have you ever played Super Mario RPG for SNES? It's also a Mario RPG, but for the majority of the game, Bowser is an ally, and it's actually developed by Squaresoft. You might not like it as much because it's over 15 years old, and it's more of a traditional RPG, but ever since I've been disappointed with Mario RPG's, especially the Mario & Luigi franchise. Paper Mario and Paper Mario TTYD were both amazing games, but Super Mario RPG was significantly better.

Haven't played Super PM yet, but it's definatly on my Games to buy list. I just don't think it's worth $35 (price at EB games), mainly because it's old. So I'm waiting for price to come down, while I play Metroid, Donkey Kong, and Smash Bros.

BTW, if those are the games you got a 3DS for, then why did you get the current DS? Animal Crossing, one game, hardly justifies a hardware purchase to me, and from my experience with Wild World is that it's not much different from the Gamecube installment (again, haven't played the Wii version). For me it was Advance Wars, Fire Emblem, and Metroid Prime among others.

Well, those are not the only games I got a 3DS for...Those are just the top ones that are already announced. I also really enjoy 3D and now Super Mario 3D sounds cool too. I got a DS based off of it being a Nintendo System to be honest. I was a kid at the time and didn't really know what games were even on the DS LOL. So I got it because of...who knows? I liked the Gameboy and GBA and...thats the best I got...

Actually, I have always played Nintendo Systems since the N64 and GameBoy when I got them as gifts when I was a kid.(It was more of a family gift thing as it was for the whole family) Nintendo is what I knew for games growing up and always picked Nintendo Systems.

After the DS didn't impress me...I decided not to buy any more Nintendo Systems based only on because it was Nintendo. I couldn't decide if I would like Motion controls so I didn't get the Wii at first like I did with the GBA, DS, and Gamecube. Instead I waited to see if I should get a PS3 or 360 instead. I as you know picked the Wii which was a very good pick IMO but didn't get it until Summer 2007. With the 3DS, Again I waited to see what everyone else had. I didn't preorder the 3DS and waited. After I saw both the NGP & 3DS I decided on the 3DS due to its line-up and 3D feature.(Yes I like unique and different ideas and some people say they are gimmics but I like them and I would rather have 3D than high end graphics like the NGP)

Even now after the Wii and 3DS I won't just buy a Nintendo System because its Nintendo LOL. Even though I really enjoy Nintendo's franchises...DS showed me that....that isn't enough. With Wii 2...I will wait.

With your maturity I keep forgetting that you're still a teenager. I used to be just the same way, I bought my Gamecube because it was Nintendo, and I really just wanted to play more Nintendo. They make great games, just they need more new IP's, maybe some more internal studios. I mean I bought Wii for new installments of Mario Kart, Donkey Kong and other amazing franchises, I still have that Nintendo love. 3DS is probably the first Nintendo I plan to turn down, but it's mainly because I don't play handheld games anymore, and I'd rather get a GBA emulator on a Sony Xveria Play.

What I might do is get the 3DS successor one day and pick up a bnch of 3DS games to catch up on. This is assuming I can't put a DS, 3DS or PSP emulator on my cell phone at that time in the future.

Anyway, at least you're putting thought into it. Even if I were interested in a 3DS, I would wait because there still really isn't any software for it yet. If I got a 3DS I'd be playing PilotWings, instead of Okamiden. I waited on my Wii, probably for a little too long, but I got a sick limited edition Red Wii.

I think with all future consoles, I want to wait for a redesign, or a limited edition. I'm probably going to go Sony, I'm sick of my 360 breaking, and I never really gave Sony much of a chance in the past. I mean I've owned PS1-3, and can borrow a PSP almost anytime I like, but they have always been secondary consoles to me, after a Nintendo. Now that Wii is my secondary console (I never play it alone), and I let 360 be my primary console, I've seen how good some third party games can be. Reason why I want to go Sony over MS is because of reliability (Another reason to wait for a redesign), exclusive content after the first couple years, and the way they conduct buisness (free online, built in controller batteries, ability to use external hard-drive for memory, not just tumb drive, Greatest Hits collection includes all high rated and high volume games, etc).

I just wish Sony made GT5 a lot earlier this gen, and I hope next gen I see a good number of GT's. Anyway I won't drag on. Have fun with your 3DS. Make sure you get Starfox 64, when I was a kid I rented that game about 10 times and I think it was the first game I ever bought with my own money.
