They are plausible, just so you'd believe them. I don't trust any source aside from Nintendo's word at E3. And I'm 100% it'll be different from this, to the absolute core. Aside from the 3DS focus this E3 and the Wii BC, they are both a given.
Most people forget that Nintendo doesn't need 3rd parties. They are about making money, and a lot of it. As long as their strategy pays off monetarily, they will follow it. See the 3DS - great gimmick, outdated hardware, and a high price. Does it remind you of any platform, mm? The ones that need 3rd parties tailor their systems for their interest - see NGP, PS3, 360. All offer different appeal for 3rd party devs (though, it mostly revolves around power). Nintendo makes and breaks their own systems, ever since the NES.
