Why publishers don't do buy II get I free?

If that's too soon, they could try Buy "Awsome game 3" and get "Awesome game 1" for free.

Have you been looking at the steam sales again? they just had one like this. I forget what game it was though. But it was preorder the 3rd and get the first 2 free i believe.

 

For downloaded games it makes total sense!

For hardcopy games, it will add to the costs of the physical media and distribution.

I am trying to ignore Steam atm. Buying too many games and didn't even touch half of them yet.
