It's not sold that badly, especially considerring it's relatively packed release schedule. When Killzone 2 was released it didn't have much in the way of competition. Killzone 3 on the other hand has direct competition from Crysis 2 and a range of titles from a variety of genres.
I for one have held off on purchasing Killzone 3 as I bought Dragon Age 2 and Crysis 2.
