I doubt their game development studios had anything to do with R&D/making the 3DS, maybe one or two of them were involved in 3DS firmware/OS/built in games - Otherwise, what is it about 3DS that leads you to believe that the device making itself hogged enough resources to nearly halt game develpement on all their other platforms?

this -- and if all the nintendo fans on this site are correct - wii/ds/3DS games are significantly less costly (i.e. take less people) to make then ps3/psp/NGP therefore nintendo ought to be able to exceed the number of first party games that sony can make.

so why is sony destroying nintendo on the number of games created over the last couple of years?

Nintendo want people to save a bit of cash rather than spend far too much on games they will play and forget.

If so, this line-up means Nintendo LOVES to have us saving our cash.

So you're saying that Nitendo just doesn't release good games so we can purschase more games in the future? That's laughable.

Their line-up is terrible, they just couldn't manage themseles well, I feel they deserve to be outsold weekly, they haven't even tried to give us something decent.

Always the case with Nintendo that's why previous Nintendo consoles have sold quite poorly.
