Over here in the UK it's on Fridays. And very few Ninty games I know released on Sunday...

Pokemon always release on Sunday, same goes for Mario Galaxy 1&2, and Twilight Princess.  Oh and most recently the 3DS released on a Sunday here in the states.

Some Nintendo games do release on Tuesdays but every big franchise releases on Sunday.

I see. Must be different to the UK then
