Also, not really a MASSIVE milestone, we saw it coming for some time. When it passes the GBA then I'll be impressed.
I have to wonder where this gen will stop! DS will end 1st, that's a given. Wii will likely end up 3rd, behind DS and PS2. The PSP MAY end up 5th, but looking at WW sales it looks unlikely...
I think 360 and PS3 will end up 6th and 7th, but in which order? Heck, this gen has been full of surprises, who's to say they can't go even higher!

I think PS3 will finish with lifetime sales higher than PSone in the end.
It will be 62-65M at end of this year, 2012 should increase it to 75 and then few milions for next few years when it replaces PS2 as entry level console in poor countries.

Yes, next year maybe 72-75mil, but then the next gen begins. I don't see it selling like the PS2 did after its death personally...
Wii at 128-135, PS3 at 85-95 and 360 at 80-95 IMO

i agree with the wii. but i think the PS3 and 360 has a chance of breaking into the 100 million club.

Wii will be at about 96M at years end and maybe 106M next year then will finish around 110M LT, will top PS1's LT sales mid 2012. PS3 should do 80M plus LT.

10M - 2012, 5M - 2013, so less than 4M, maybe they wont sell any since Nintendo never keeps their current home console on the market when the next one comes in. They do that with hanhelds though.

They didn't do that with the GC because it was a fucking failure dude, Wii is a success so I think it would be stupid to stop its production when the new console comes out. They do that with the handhelds because their handhelds have always been a success. And sorry I meant 2013, because I really don't see the Wii getting from 17m right now to 4m in just 3 years or a bit more. I could be wrong, but if it really happens then something went wrong...
