Ah :P Yeah, guess that's what I was remembering. Some guy in neogaf made the same mistake as me (thinking Nintendogs sold more than the week before), so I was sure it must've been true. Oh well.
Anyway, NIntendogs Plus Cats doesn't seem to be pushing the 3DS as much as Nintendo probably thought it would (at least in Japan, we'll see how it does everywhere else). They should've launched the 3DS with something more proven like Mario Kart or Super Mario Brothers, really.
Edit: I guess it was the VGchartz preview where I saw 8000..bad memory is bad.
