*le sigh* No, you're not understanding the concept of not having anything releasing within a certain time frame, I'm really sorry you have to grasp at straws that some of those games happen to be good, or even good sellers.  And yeah I screwed up that title, Destroy All Humans is rather forgetable and the plot is rather similar to that crappy movie so I associate the two.

Basically that summer drought in games was rather brutal and even X-play commented on it in their review of Destroy all Humans.  Psychonauts was a rather shoddy port on PS2 that was originally developed for PC and Xbox and already months old at the time of release on PS2.  And last gen FPS titles weren't good on consoles, it wasn't till this gen they started to take some hints from GoldenEye and Halo...

So June... yeah lots of choice there, a new unique concept, a port that was late to the game and ran worse, or a game that was better on PC, choices choices...

I perfectly understand it, it's just that there was plenty to choose from. Just as a FYI, that's also YOUR opinion that FPS games weren't good. It's a subjective point. You think they're bad. I didn't. Sales of a whole bunch of them say they were good and people lked them... Not just Halo and GoldenEye were big sellers. Medal of Honor says "Hey there!", and Call of Duty says "I was there too!"... Also want to add that Call of Duty 4 was bigger for the FPS genre than GoldenEye and Halo combined. But that's for another discussion...

Anyway, back to your post. I'm grasping at straws? What? You say Destroy All Humans was the only thing worthwhile releasing for PS2 in Summer '05, I show you a number of games around it and I'm grasping at straws? Firstly, get a grip and secondly, do your research before you post something so silly.

LEGO Star Wars sold over 3 Million units.
Star Wars Episode 3 sold over 3 Million units.
Medal of Honor European Assault sold over 1.5 Million units.
Destroy All Humans, the game that you for some reason singled out, sold under 1 Million units (We only have data from America, but meh) and we don't have data for the PS2 version of Psychonauts.

Yeah. I'm really grasping at straws picking out 3 games that sold more copies than it, that released close to it. Really.
