Bayonetta = Best Hack&Slash I've ever played.

in terms of combat this gen imo its 

ninja gaiden>bayonnetta>god of war 

but you can't beat god of war's production values and the story was not as terrible as ninja gaiden's and bayonnetta's though still nothing special.
