And it may or may not be, but the more confusing part is that everything else, even the Wii, is doing unusually well.

I know it isn't because why would it only affect the 3DS?

If the disaster was effecting sales like that it would also affect the Wii, PS3, DS and PSP and clearly that doesn't seem to be the case.
