Wii is completely buried in Japan, even Gamecube had better support in its last years. However there are still people who refuse to believe it. Personally some weeks ago I decided not to make more comments about this system on Media Create charts along with other dead consoles as Xbox 360.

Wii had a short but bright life.

2006 - 2011

I wouldn't jump on the death wagon just yet. We still have DQX, which is bound to sell millions, Pandora's Tower and likely loads at E3. Sure, some may have been delayed, and the future's hardly bright, but saying it's 'dead' is a bit harsh

And 6 years is hardly a 'short' life. In 6 months time PS3 will be around 15k as well I reckon, bar no price-cuts etc.

honestly, at this point, if they release DQX on wii it will be a stupid move, considering how bad Wii is doing comparatively. They should at least consider multiplat. Especially considering ps3 is outselling wii comfortably while being more expensive than it, a price cut will do wonders.

You've gotta remember what DQ can do to a console. They could release it on Gameboy and it'd still sell millions...

Going mulitplat isn't a good move IMO, all of the development time they've created and all the resources they've poored into it has already made it late to the party, holding it back further simply to make it mulitplat and maybe get a few extra sales is a big mistake

well they held back on it for so many years, spending few months for a multi release won't hurt them I think. Heck it will help ensure even greater sales. DQ can help consoles for sure, but from a devs perspective they should think of how the console can help their sales. So unless Ninty give some financial push to them, I think not going multiplat OR handheld is a bad move.

After what happened with DQIX I expect Ninty have more to say on DQX. I reckon they'll be publishing it, and won't let it go to other consoles. Handhelds is the only tangible possibilty IMO, but even then, you'd have to strip the Wii version WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back to basics for it to work with the (3)DS. And I'm unsure if Nintendo are willing to take that risk...

The lack of info worries me greatly, but I expect an E3 blowout. Hopefully it's nearly finished, and with this, Zelda, couple more E3 games and Pandora's Tower, Wii in Japan will at least remain competitive for one more year

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
