How and why? It's not illegal, and i don't think Tesco cares who they sell their consoles to as long as they sell.
i can even see a bit of an advantage, as Tesco surely won't be bothered with warranty issues if any of these fail 
i wonder if GAME gives warranty on preowned consoles, does anyone know?
