I get them from my job. If Nintendo knew about this tech back when they decided to use a parallax barrier they would have needed to pay for R&D. The good thing about this tech is it would have used the same amount of energy in 2D and 3D modes. The bad thing is it would take stronger hardware to render the images. About 19 million pixels would need to be rendered instead of 192,000. That makes this tech perfect for movies but interactive games would have been a challenge. I have no idea how much the 3DS 3D screen costs but this tech wouldn't cost too much more.
