Anyone who understands how the firearms game is played doesn't go out of their way to advertise anything as being an "assault weapon," which quite frankly would only appeal to the very type of jackass that no reasonable person would want possessing a firearm of any sort. Civilian versions of military weapons (semi-auto, regardless of other features) are marketed and sold as "sporter rifles" as they aren't being sold for assaulting anything. |
I see no issue with owning an AK47, M4, M16, etc. Hell I know plenty of people who own fuill-auto versions of those guns, and fully working gernades and C4. The aren't crazy idiots, they have every intension of using the guns for home defense, and the explosives incase we get invaded or have another revolution. I personally want the 50cal Barret sniper rifle in my local gun shop, or an AK47 myself.
I personally have a love/hate guns relationship with guns. I prefer swords, knives, and bow and arrows as they take true skill to kill someone or something and I can consider them an honorable thing to die. Guns, which are fun as hell to shoot, takes very little skill to actually kill someone as with a 7 - 15 round clip you can just aim from the hip and blow someone away.
And yes, I own 13 swords and about 20 different knives. And eventually going to get a beautiful compound bow. =D
And yes, you should be allowed to fully modify your vehicles with NOS, Turbos, new suspension, stronger engines, blowers, have it lowered, paint it, add decals, etc. I say f the laws.
