why? while this is more of a profit motive then an environmental one, as an environmentalist I support this. Reduce paper, reduce waste, reduce deforesting. Basically a win-win-win.

Yeah, becase the companies that chop down trees to make paper totally don't replant the trees they chop down :P

And because the manuals weren't already made out of 100% recycled paper to begin with.

And because people actually still throw away paper. I could care less about the environment and I still throw my paper away in those special paper bins.
