You are equating Squeenix to Scamco 

Not really a best example, but a DQ game is not likely to go multiplatform, given the similar people complained about DS DQ.  

With the exclusion of generation after, can you name me a DQ game that went multiplatform?

Edit: By this I mean when it became established franchise. I do know that DW1 was on a bunch of consoles, because nothing was sticking, until NES was born.
