Only when consumers in the US become as wise as consumers in Europe and Japan.  A 54 percent failure rate(http://www.tgdaily.com/games-and-entertainment-features/43661-claim-xbox-360-plagued-by-a-54-percent-failure-rate) is unacceptaple but for some reason people in the US keep buying that piece of crap machine.  I got the RROD on my 360 at 3 years 3 months and I don't plan on getting it fixed, not when my PS3 and Wii are still running strong.

lololololololololol people still talk about the RROD??  When was that article made..... Ohh yea, in 2009 before the slim released. It's mind boggling people would even bring this up now.

OT: I'm going to have to say when the Ps3 has a price cut. Even then it wont last for that long.

It's just cause mine just happened and I'm still pouting about it.  I'm sure it will be determined that the slim is a piece of crap in due time anyway.  When I e-mailed Microsoft they gave the lamest excuse.  They actually put "The nature of the console itself is very complex, as it's a consumer electronic product that contains more than 1,700 different components and 500 million transistors" in the response e-mail.  Cause that is the only complex console ever made or something.

I understand your pissed about the horrible failure rating the 360 had the first few years of it's life, but that post was way over the line and completely unnessasary. Trust me I was pissed about it also, luckily I've had the same system since 2007 and only sent it in once under warranty *knocks on wood*. That still doesn't make the 360 a bad console. Like Nsanitly said, the ps2 was plauged with errors also, not quite to the extent of the 360, but still had its problems. That didn't stop it from being a great console.
