I think the general feeling is....

it doesnt matter any more.

MS... mission accomplished.

Yeah, when Sony catches up to MS, it doesn't matter any more. But when MS is ahead it matters.

Right.

no... it doesnt matter any more because of the timescales involved and the install base.

The 360 has over 50m out there... it has increased its market share massively over the last gen.  Not a single Sony fan would have thought that MS would have achieved that this gen and not a singlke Sony fan would have thought the 360 would still be ahead of the PS3 after 5 years.

But if it makes you happy then I also think that it doesnt matter any more that the 360 is ahead. Both have an install base that is sustainable and both have done well.

If some Sony fans want to trumpet dragging themselves from 3rd to 2nd as some kind of victory one day in 2013, when the next gen will be upon us and the 360 is 8yrs old then good luck to them.    I guess expectations change from gen to gen.

So things should happen like sony fans think?

lmao you giving us that much importance is amazing. Sure nobody predicted 360 would have outsold the PS3 last gen(I wasn't even a Sony fan then but still), why give them that much importance?

I guess not being in the last gen is my problem. I always see things respective to the time.
