I was using wikipedia as my source which is why I had "~" as that was what it was intended to be similar too. Whether or not they were actually ">" or "<" is open to discussion. GBA is lacking in some computational ability and 2 buttons on the interface compared to the SNES. DS is also lacking in some 3D abilities and an analog stick compared to the N64. As an extension I would expect the next Nintendo handheld to be similar or "~" to the GC in all but minor ways, trully not ">" or "<" just as has been seen in previous models.
I purposely left off gameboy light and another gameboy mentioned as well as the seperation of GBA and GBA SP as they didn't have any computing differences to their sister models, only repacking like DS to DSLight.
